Arvin 32R89

As we saw smaller transistor radios replacing the bulkier tube units in the 60’s, Arvin changed the landscape with the unveiling of there new line of futuristic looking FM/AM Hi-Fi stereo tube radios. The 32A89 is a great example of this bold new style. Combining chrome, leather, glass, and plastic. Topped with a grayscale custom stitch speaker fabric.

The Arvin 32R89 features pushbutton AM/FM/Phono selection, independent bass/treble controls, and a unique green illuminated tuning indicator, located just above the tuning knob. Also, the 32R89 has a high powered internal antenna, allowing it to pull in hundreds of stations across both AM and FM bands!

This very radio was photographed and featured in Rolling Stones 2011 gift guide seen here.
